Environmental Monitoring System completes 6 months in Rondônia

"The SMDK (Kanindé Deforestation Monitoring System), a remote territorial monitoring platform designed exclusively for the Kanindé Ethno-environmental Defense Association, an organization that has been fighting in Rondônia for 30 years for the rights of indigenous peoples, completes six months of operation.

The partnership with Kanindé made it possible to train and equip 25 indigenous monitors from four different peoples in Rondônia with drones, cell phones, digital cameras and other tools, improving their ability to defend their territories
."
