Unofficial translation:
Following the press release from the Minister of Transport dated September 22, 2016, inviting all operators of remotely piloted aircraft (drones) in Cameroon airspace to imperatively suspend their activities,
and to report to the General Management of the Aeronautical Authority for examination of their situation on a case-by-case basis, the Aeronautical Authority has published an instruction setting the procedures for requesting authorization to use remotely piloted aircraft in space aerial and on Cameroonian territory for occasional aerial work operations .
This instruction specifies the composition of an authorization request, and describes the processing process.
The preparation of a more general framework is underway and should lead to the regulation of drone operations in Cameroon.
