- The first step would be to take instruction, in case some additional skills are required to operate the equipment in order to preserve it and safeguard its operation.
- Enter the WEB page of the Civil Aeronautical Authority, enter DRONES and there you will find the Form for the registration of the equipment, which you must bring to your appointment, as well as the physical equipment. There you will find the Drone Operation procedures.
- We recommend that you read what is established in Resolution 120, Aeronautical Standard AAC / DSA / DG / 01/16 Requirements for the Operation of Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems for the use of the equipment that is on the AAC website.
- Go to building 805 of the AAC, to the Air Safety Directorate phones: 524-3848 to 56 (Director) where they will proceed with the registration and placement of the sticker (sticker) with the vacant number that corresponds to your RPA.
- It is important to obtain a license to operate the equipment, especially if it is going to be used for commercial purposes.
- To obtain the license, send a note to Captain Abdiel Fenández, Director of Air Safety AI, whose office is located in building 805 and they will indicate the steps to follow. Once the equipment is registered and when it is going to carry out operations, send an email to these addresses killingbeckk@gmail.com cc kerima.killingbeck@aeronautica.go.pa notify the purpose of your overflight in order to send you the Special Operations Form listed.
- We appreciate using WGS 84 coordinates and altitudes in feet above mean sea level.
- For Operations in the Coastal Beltway it is necessary to notify the SPI Coastal Beltway with a note addressed to Commissioner Julio César Jean Louis Garrido
- For operations in Casco Antiguo, issue a note to Commissioner DEM / Julio César Jean Louis Garrido Director General of the Institutional Protection Service (SPI) or Commissioner Jorge Miranda Director of Police with CC: Lawyer Kathy Osorio Director of the Historical Heritage.
- In case of flying over areas restricted by DJI equipment, mailto: flysafe@dji.com takes five business days.
- Requests approval takes a minimum of three business days.
